NSW:Accused murderer granted bail
A man accused of the stabbing murder of boxing champion JOHN MARCETA has been granted
bail after finding new accommodation away from the death scene.
28-year-old CRAIG CHARLES PITTS has appeared at Sydney's Central Local Court via audio
visual link today He is charged with murdering Mr Marceta, 38, in August at a housing
block in the inner Sydney suburb of Redfern where Pitts lived.
Magistrate Lee Gilmour had previously told him she would grant bail if alternative
accommodation could be arranged.
In granting his application, she ordered that he keep away from Redfern and stay at
a private hotel.
His matter was adjourned to the Downing Centre Local Court on October 6.
